Bacon Chocolate Chip Cookie Teaser
5My first attempt at gluten-free, low-carb, Paleo bacon chocolate chip cookies. An experiment that turned out pretty excellent.
Except one thing.
I can’t yet post a recipe for you. Because I don’t have one. I don’t measure, I just tend to throw things together and taste test along the way.
I swear, I meant to measure. But … I got swept away by bacon?
Next time, I promise to be more diligent. Sorry for the tease.
In the meantime, I did Google to see if there were some other, similar recipes out there. (Hey, at least I didn’t leave you totally high and dry.) I can’t personally vouch for any of them, but they all LOOK pretty good. All credit (or fault) belongs to the owners. :)

I totally understand! The hardest thing about blogging for me was measuring, counting, and generally following a plan! I used to “just do it” and everything always turned out great; but now that I am blogging, I have to keep track of what I did and why – and it’s not easy!
bacon cookies….i’m in love.
How did they taste? I am generally skeptical of sweet and savory together.
i am usually a bit skeptical of this too.
they were pretty good — especially dunked in coconut milk! Next time, tho, I will not add salt because the bacon/bacon grease already has that flavor covered!

why would you put two of the best foods together. yes i like both of them but they don’t go together. meat and chocolate should never ever go with each other. first of all, chocolate chip cookies are a dessert food and bacon is a breakfast food unless used in a BLT. second of all, why ruin a perfectly good cookie by putting bacon in it so it might taste like breakfast all over again at 10:00 p.m. even though some people may like it, it would make me feel like it is 8:00 in the morning and I am still eating breakfast and it would stress me out feeling like I am still eating breakfast.
