Bacon Hot Sauce Dressing & Marinade

by 365daysofbacon

I’ll be… frank.

Give me a bottle of Frank’s (Red Hot sauce) and yes. Just like the little ol’ lady in their ads says, I’ll “put that $!@% on everything!”

I don’t know what it is, but I love the stuff. I’ve got quite a tolerance, so the hotter, the better.

And no. In case you’re wondering, I haven’t yet been able to straight up dunk actual bacon strips in hot sauce.

It just seems like a bit of an insult to both parties. Or, maybe my subconscious is afraid of how hotbacontastic it might be.

The keyword there is YET.

In the meantime, I’ve come very close.

Use this recipe as a salad dressing, as a marinade, as a dunker, with your eggs, etc. It really pairs well with eggs, meat, cream cheese, blue cheese, etc.

  1. (optional) cooked bacon bits, ground fine
  2. bacon grease
  3. hot sauce, to taste. (I like a lot – you may not. Flavor and heat varieties abound)
  4. dash of salt
  5. dash of pepper

  1. Melt the bacon grease.
  2. Combine with hot sauce, salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in bacon bits, if available.
