Confession: I didn’t actually make the guacamole base from scratch for this post. Don’t judge.

I was lacking the following essential tools:

  • Time
  • Optimal and fresh ingredients
  • The perfect guac recipe

I can’t seem to find a guac recipe that turned out more than mediocre. I have high guac standards. Hint, hint, I take suggestions…  😉

But, I DID have was bacon bits. And bacon grease. And a delicious package of TJoe’s spicy guacamole.

Oh, and a hunger for bacon guac.

Lazy Bacon Guacamole

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 – 1 package of bacon
  • package of guac
  • (optional) bacon grease

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cook the bacon. Drain it on paper towls and let it cool. (Put in freezer to expediate this process)
  2. Crumble bacon.
  3. Mix into guac.
  4. Add bacon grease too, for more flavor, if desired.
  5. Do a little salsa dance in your kitchen.

My guac is kinda lazy too but it is super yummy. The success of your guacamole depends on the ripeness of your avocados.

    To make a mess:
    4 avocados peeled and pitted
    4 tablespoons of lemon juice
1/2 to whole package of Pico De Gallo (you can find it in the refrigerated salad part of the grocery store)
Salt–Many people leave this out. It is integral to bringing out all the flavors.

I have a really bad habit of adding and tasting so feel free to adjust these measurements.

I really want to try bacon guacamole now! I am truly intrigued!
