I’ve been consuming copious amounts of garlic, lately.

Because I watched Twilight and now I’m scared of vampires. Ok, not really. More like Costco bit me. 3 lb bag of heirloom, peeled garlic. $5.80.

I mean, really, what’s a girl to do?!

Buy it, of course! And figure out how to eat it all, afterwards. Preferably with bacon. Obviously.

And so it happened.

Oven-roasted garlic cloves, drizzled in bacon grease.

The perfect combination for warding off vampires AND people.

Yes, I eat them whole.

I’m willing to bet my co-workers and the lady 6 inches away from me in hot yoga class didn’t realize how lucky they used to be.

Suckerrrrrs.   😉

What do you do with it?! Sounds fab!!

    • wellllll, haha, I usually just pop the delicious roasted cloves in my mouth, as is!

roasting them removes some of the garlic “bite,” a lot like when you cook/saute onions.

they’re great in eggs, soups, salads, ground up in dishes/sauces/dressing, etc.

Perfect combination. I can only imagine the delicious smell in your kitchen! Just another example that everything tastes better with bacon.
    Very nice blog.

Oooh! You should make a chip dip outta that! And add crumbs of bacon, of course 😉

  9. Okay…now THAT sounds really amazing! Two of my favorite foods. I think I’ll use that recipe for a pizza topping! …and maybe a pasta, and a bruschetta, perhaps!

  10. I roast garlic often just in olive oil, why did I never think about this before. I shared it around, and am very impressed. Thanks for sharing.
