7I bet you didn’t know there was a black market for bacon.
6,000 lbs of bacon smuggling attempted in Belize.
I mean, bacon is good. I like to sneak it into things … other foods, conversations, gifts, shopping carts.
But not into countries.
The Guardian article reports that 6,000 lbs (6,000?!?!) of “Griddlemaster Wide Shingle Bacon in 400 boxes was attempted to be smuggled. The bacon was found inside a container that also brought in 24 boxes of Vacuum Packed Pork Tenderloin. The company from whom the bacon was bought was Hormel Foods out of Chicago.”
Belize, I’m sorry you had to resort to smuggling bacon. And Hormel, at that.
Still, I get it. I totally get it.

it’s true! come to think of it…the red and white of the flag looks a lot like bacon strips… now I see what they did there!
Our bacon is so good they smuggle it into foreign countries! Just out of curiosity, what is the Muslim level there? Think they’ve tried to outlaw bacon so it cannot be imported?
