Bacon GuacBurger

Bad pic or not, it’s a great burger.

Sometimes it’s hard to make brown foods look appealing in pics, not matter how delicious they are. Also, my photography “skills,” …umm… “have some room for improvement.”


The Bacon GuacBurger is pretty solid: Meat, Bacon, Guac, Onions & Mushrooms (sauteed in bacon grease)

You can’t go wrong.

I find chicken, hamburger and fish to be rather boring by themselves. There needs to be some sort of smothering sauce or other tasty toppings.

The toppers make the burger, eh?



  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 egg
  • bacon
  • 3 tbsp bacon grease
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 package mushrooms




  1. Fry bacon, drain, reserve grease, set in fridge to cool.
  2. Mix thawed hamburger with raw egg. Form meat into patties and bake / grill / fry into burger.
  3. Meanwhile, chop onions and mushrooms. Fry in bacon grease.
  4. Top burgers generously with bacon, guac, mushrooms, and onions.

  3. Yes the pic is not that good but this HAS to taste good. I find that any pic with guacamole in it is hard to get right. Either it’s the lighting or focus I find.

    • those sound like valid reasons! im not schooled in nor skilled at photography.

      and yes. guac and bacon…well, they are sure ways to make things taste delish!
