Ok, so I know I’ve asked the question of THE GREAT BACON DEBATE: Crispy vs Chewy?

And I also said the answer is always YES.

But…when it comes down to dithering, I still have a preference. 

The best bacon is cold & burnt.


Not inedible black-burnt, mind you. Just minimally black-burnt.

And then placed in the freezer for a few minutes to harden and crisp up. 

(This is the secret to the crunchiest of the crunchy bacon. You’re welcome.)

    One should never commit ones self to only style one of bacon or style of preparation. Each having it’s pleasures, though a bit burn never hurts… 😉
