Chocolate-Covered Bacon

Chocolate-Covered Bacon Ends are a girl’s best friend.

Chocolate-Covered Bacon Ends are a guy’s best friend.

Wait, let’s not be sexist, here.

Chocolate-Covered Bacon Ends are everyone’s best friend.

Because they’ve got both bacon and chocolate covered — something for everyone.

Use the bacon ends. It’s easy, they just turn out so good, some are crispy, some are salty, and the bacon ends are ALWAYS CHEAPER.

And just as delicious.

(For those who don’t know… bacon ends are just the leftovers bacon pieces that can’t quite get cut into the long, perfect strips)

Pretty much the tastiest imperfection I’ve ever eaten. Especially coated in chocolate.

  • 1/2 lb of bacon ends, cooked and cooled completely in freezer
  • 2 squares of unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • (optional) 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 2-4 tbsp unsweetened baking powder
  • sweetener of your choice

  1. Melt the unsweetened baking chocolate squares in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Remove from heat
  3. Stir in coconut oil.
  4. Stir in nut butter, if using.
  5. Stir in unsweetened baking powder. Amount will vary, based on if you used nut butter and how thick/runny you want the chocolate.
  6. Stir in sweetener.
  7. Line a pan or plate with parchment paper.
  8. Dip and coat bacon ends in chocolate, place on paper.
  9. Place in freezer to harden.
