Bacon Vacation

Bacon Vacation

overlooking the desert and mountains (sigh of content)

ManBacon and I went to southern Arizona over the 4th of July. We had a free place to stay, with ManBacon’s good friend, Matt Jeschke.

Matt’s got many talents and is prolly one of the most adventurous and intelligent people I know. He owns a health website,

He’s also a real estate professional for Keys to Arizona, and is a fantastic tour guide.

He took us up mountains by car and foot, through the desert, around the Sonoita vineyards, to a Padres baseball game (with fireworks!), to some tasty Mexican restaurants, to caves, to a historic mission, to Tombstone, etc, etc. You should really look him up if you’re in southern Arizona — or if you’re not (yet), but would like to move!  😉

ManBacon & I took over all cooking and related duties at his house. You know this meant bacon & some variety of scrambled eggs and carmelized onions every morning. It also meant Bacon Brussels with Toasted Hazelnuts. Matt didn’t seem to mind.   😉

I know it doesn’t seem quite seasonally appropriate to go to AZ in the summer, but I love the AZ sun and heat. And yes,

We prolly coulda cooked our bacon & eggs on the pavement. Ha.

Anyway, it was a great bacon vacation. Thanks, Matt!

Great holiday! And great pic, I could just about pick up a piece of that bacon and eat it. Lol!

Vacation sounds awesome – minus the involvement of swooning when eating my kin folks – snorts. XOXO – Bacon
